For this past week of working with the camera I had chosen my rings to be an example of playing with light color and more, I felt these rings would be excellent for the lighting in particular for the way it shines. other than that I do not have much else to add. 

    While working on this project I have been listening to quite soft and calming music, which are some of my favorite to listen to regardless of my activity. However I feel that while filming it creates a nice atmosphere that doesn't put to much pressure into the filming process and lets this be a more enjoyable experience.

 AI converting images with prompts.  Though I have changed my plans for the poor image, I am still going to use this photo of my cat, Cali.      I'm planning to give the photo to the Grok AI system and asking it to manipulate the photo through prompts.      Beginning with this photo I was curious what would happen if I eventually gave the AI free will to do anything it wished to this photo with minimal guidance.  In these first few examples I prompted Grok to saturate the photo, I repeated this a number of times to see how far the AI was willing to go.      I was a little shocked to see how little it actually changed in the start, slowly having to get more and more descriptive with it to push it past what it was willing to do   You can see with these two I asked it to do the same thing twice, and they look nearly identical. this is what made me change my mindset and ask more specific prompts.      this once ...

The Cat

Samuel Johnson     For our first project "the poor image" I have chosen to use a picture of my cat. This is the original photo.     Using this piece I am going to be retaking the photo from my computer screen. sending it over and compressing the image until it looks noticeably different. To further distort this image I will also be shrinking the image and screenshotting it.      Once the photo was compressed and shrunk, the photo begins to look aged. seeing the lines from the pixels. and the darkened, less saturated colors on the animal.     I feel changing the image and looking like this makes both the cat and photo look aged. which to me makes me think about what the cat could look like as of right now. More grey, less colors, and simply older.

Photo Book

  For this assignment, I created a book with a sequence and one with a series, combing both visual storytelling and digital editing techniques. I started by planning out the concept and deciding what kind of mood and message i wanted to portray for each image. The first book "within my heart" was my series, I chose to focus on what makes me who I believe I am. I enjoy the idea of dividing the picture between the old me, and what I am now. For the editing process I chose to use affinity, being that it was free and I proffered working on this at home. I worked with both found images and personal images. some of which being photos of myself in a clearer photo, and others of me and my best friend.
